James P. Eckels

Mr. Eckels is a managing shareholder of Murr Siler Eckels Delaney, PC, and has extensive experience representing banks, mortgage lenders, and loan servicers in commercial foreclosures and contested consumer and commercial finance litigation throughout the Western United States, including in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, and other surrounding states.   He also represents mortgage lenders, construction companies, contractors, and other creditors in bankruptcy cases and adversary proceedings.  Mr. Eckels dedicates much of his practice to complex appellate litigation concerning critical legal issues facing the mortgage, banking, real estate, construction, and title industries, including in the U.S. Supreme Court, Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and Colorado and New Mexico Supreme Courts.  Before entering private practice, Mr. Eckels was an appellate law clerk to the Hon. Richard L. Gabriel and the Editor-in-Chief of the University of Colorado Law Review.
